The App

DeadStick Utilities is a Mac app (macOS 15 or later) distributed through the Mac App Store. Its sidebar includes Smart Scan, Clean Up, Large Files, Duplicates, Storage, Apps, Mac Status and Recovery, plus Settings, Privacy and Help. Scanning only reads, and Mac Status is read-only.

Your Choices And Responsibility

You choose what to scan: Smart Scan, Full System Scan or Custom Scan. Nothing is selected for removal automatically, and you review each change before it is made. You are responsible for reviewing your selections and for keeping independent backups of files that matter to you.

Subscription

The whole suite is one auto-renewable annual subscription purchased through Apple. Customers Apple identifies as eligible can start a 7-day free trial. After the trial, the subscription is $9.99/year (US reference price; the App Store shows the price for your country or region).

Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends. The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple account settings. Trial eligibility, billing and refunds are handled by Apple.

Scanning and the tools (Smart Scan, Clean Up, Large Files, Duplicates, Storage, Apps and Mac Status) need an active subscription or Apple's free trial. Recovery (restore and export of held files), Privacy, Settings and Help stay available without a subscription. The app says so on its first screen, before any scan.

Recovery Limitations

Recovery is a holding area, not a backup service. Supported files move to Recovery on their original volume, and moving files to Recovery normally does not free disk space. Restoring a held file depends on that file and its volume remaining available. Items you delete permanently cannot be restored by DeadStick. DeadStick Utilities does not delete held files on its own.

No Warranty Of Results

DeadStick Utilities is provided as is, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will free any particular amount of disk space, find every file of a given kind, or be free of errors. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

App Store License

DeadStick Utilities is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies in addition to these terms.

Changes
