Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 25, 2026. DeadStick Utilities is in pre-release development. This page is prepared for the planned app launch and must continue to match the shipped build.
Local-First By Default
DeadStick Utilities is designed to process cleanup reviews, storage insights, photo review, contact backup/review, privacy posture, and Mac health information on your device by default.
For the planned launch build, DeadStick Utilities is not designed to upload file names, file paths, photo contents, contact contents, scan results, cleanup history, duplicate fingerprints, or device health metrics to DeadStick servers by default.
Information Processed On Your Device
- Mac file metadata needed for cleanup review, such as names, relative paths, sizes, source apps, risk labels, and review decisions.
- Photo library metadata needed for duplicate, screenshot, screen recording, and large-video review through Apple platform APIs.
- Contact data needed for local backup, local vCard export, duplicate review, and future field-level merge review.
- Files or folders you choose through platform file pickers.
- Mac health information such as CPU, memory, disk, battery, and process summaries.
- Local settings such as local-only controls, review progress, purchase state, and restore choices.
Information You May Choose To Share
DeadStick Utilities may offer optional flows that share information only after you choose to do so, such as a user-reviewed support export or App Store purchase and restore activity through Apple StoreKit.
Apple may process information when you use Apple platform services, including the App Store, StoreKit, TestFlight, iCloud if a future opt-in sync feature is approved, system permission prompts, crash reporting, or subscription management.
Platform Permissions
DeadStick Utilities should explain why access is needed before requesting platform permissions. Permission areas may include Photos, Contacts, user-selected files or folders, and notifications if health or storage alerts ship later.
DeadStick Utilities cannot clean protected iPhone or iPad system storage, other apps' private caches, hidden system junk, RAM, or private app containers. iPhone and iPad cleanup is limited to platform-allowed areas such as Photos, Contacts, Files selected by you, storage coaching, and privacy review.
Sharing And Sale
DeadStick Utilities is not intended to sell personal information, use third-party advertising SDKs, use third-party analytics SDKs, or upload scan data for cloud processing.
Retention And Deletion
DeadStick Utilities should keep local cleanup history, quarantine metadata, contact backups, diagnostics packages, and review state only as long as needed for the feature and user-controlled restore or review behavior. Exact retention controls must match the shipped build.
Security
DeadStick Utilities is designed to use Apple platform security features and avoid custom cryptography for sensitive data protection. No app can guarantee perfect security.
Children
DeadStick Utilities is a general utility app and is not intended as a child-directed service.
Contact
Privacy and support requests can be sent through the DeadStick Digital message form. Do not include private device data in the first message.
