Data accessed locally
HeadStart runs locally on your server or NAS. It reads your local media library in read-only mode to prioritize and size SSD preload cache files. All preloaded cache data remains strictly on your local SSD storage.
Data we collect and how we use it
HeadStart has no user account, no analytics SDK, no telemetry, and no DeadStick-operated cloud service. We never receive your media library inventory, file names, watch history, or server configuration through HeadStart. If you email us or submit our website contact form, we receive only the message and contact details you voluntarily send so we can reply.
Your choices and deletion
Uninstalling HeadStart (removing the Unraid plugin, or running the Linux installer with --uninstall) removes its local preload cache files, directory catalog, and metadata indexes from your SSD. To request deletion of any support correspondence you sent us, email [email protected].
